Each week I also get new product news. Some of the press releases make me yawn. But more often than not my reaction is, “Hey, that is a great idea!” Three weeks ago I got an email *out of the blue* from Ed Littell in Arizona. He sells these very unique and colorful panels that transform your standard 2 foot by 4 foot fluorescent office lights into skylights! No, you don’t cut a hole in your roof and create leaks.

Ed sells diffuser panels that replace those yellowed and cracked clear diffusers that came with your lights from the factory. These durable diffusers allow all the light from the fixture to stream into the room. But they change the look and feel of the room dramatically. Your light fixtures look like the sky when you lay on your back on a blanket. There are eleven different scenes and the one with the palm tree fronds reminds me of being at the beach

We have been customers of the Sky Man for a year now. We have 16 soon to be 17 animal hospitals throughout the valley. We have his light fixtures in the majority of our animal hospitals. Thank you for opening office to the sky. The fluorescent lighting panels of beautiful floating clouds has added to the relaxed atmosphere we try to convey to our patients.

Our treatments rooms are limited in windows as are so many physicians and dental offices. The same can be said for corporations with small office cubicles. A hint of blue sky with an occasional palm frown or bougainvillea flower is just an underlying bright spot in the work day.

We are all very pleased with our decision to purchase the cloud Sky-Scapes® for our offices. The fluorescent lighting was too bright and hard on our eyes. The only way to alleviate the brightness was to turn most of them off and use floor and desk lamps. Unfortunately we have no windows in our building and with the Sky-Scapes® panels we were able to bring the illusion of the outdoors indoors.

The installation was quick and easy and within minutes we were enjoying the difference they really make. The lighting has a calming effect and has created a more productive and soothing environment.

I purchased three of your Sky-Scapes® panels at the California Dental Convention on April 16, 2004. One is in my dental hygiene treatment room, and two are in our business office. Patients love them! My “Palm Fronds” have elicited wonderful stories from patients of trips to Hawaii, the Caribbean and even to Fiji at their dental hygiene visits. One patient was reminded of his favorite golf course in Palm Desert, and “played” a game of golf while I worked. He said he had never had so much fun at the dentist.

I have a mild form of Lupus, and with the glare reduction from the Sky-Scape® panel, I’ve noticed I’m not getting headaches like I did before. This has been a wonderful side effect. Now if I could just figure out how to redo my kitchen ceiling so I could incorporate some there too!

I am writing this letter regarding Mr. Ed Littell, “Skyman”, regarding the use of Sky-Scapes® in our office area.

We chose the “clouds” to replace our fluorescent light coverings in our office, nurse’s office, teachers’ lounge and workroom areas. The results have been incredible. This addition has had a “relaxing” affect in our work environment. Students and parents have noticed. Staff have been clamoring for more. Teachers want them in their classrooms.
